About

I'm Kaushal Rijal, a software engineer and computer engineering student in Jhapa, Nepal. I work on systems and artificial intelligence: full-stack applications, AI-agent platforms, and asynchronous backend workflows that need to stay reliable in production.

B.E. Computer Engineering, IOE Purwanchal Campus, Tribhuvan University (2024–2028)

What I work on

Most of my work sits between the product and the infrastructure: agent platforms, tool integration, email and video pipelines, scheduled publishing. The problems I like are the unglamorous ones — authorization, idempotency, retries, rate limits, and the small decisions that determine whether a system is still dependable a year later.

Outside of work I build things to understand how they work: a statically typed programming language in C++, a version control system in C, a multimodal search tool over images and captions. The homepage has the details.

Community

I'm the founder and secretary of Developers Association Jhapa, where I organize technical workshops and programming sessions. We ran Jhapa's first international hackathon, Programmers Unknown Battleground, and I mentor at hackathons — most recently Godawari Hacks (2026).

This site

The portfolio is a single hand-written HTML page: no framework, no build step, no analytics. The blog is built with Zola and lives at blog.kaushalrijal.com.np. Both should load fast, read well, and still work years from now.

I like small tools, plain text, and software that can be read end to end.
